He is survived by: his mother Barbara Ann Newport (Ritter); his wife Sherry Newport (Clowers); his children, Michael Newport (Jessica) of Bowling Green, Matthew Newport (Kristin) of Glasgow, Kentucky and Tiffany Massingale (Aaron) of Lafayette, Tennessee; his sister Sharon Newport of Lebanon, Tennessee; his stepchildren, Dana Clowers, Dakota Clowers, Chris Smith, Jeremy Smith and Charlotte Carver (Gary); and his grandchildren, Waylon Newport, Corbin Massingale and Kenzlee Massingale.
