Gary Frank Sanford Obituary
Gary Frank Sanford, 70, of Adolphus KY, passed away from this life on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Vanderbilt Medical Center.
Gary’s wishes were to not have a funeral service. At this time the family will be honoring these wishes.
Gary was born August 25, 1952, in Springfield TN to the late Joe D Sanford and Mary Jane Hulsey Sanford of Greenbrier TN. He worked at Vought aerostructures for 25 years and was a tobacco farmer. Gary was married to the love of his life Betty Jean Butler Sanford for 49 years. He was of the Baptist faith. In his spare time, he loved pulling ponies and horses. He also loved working on his farm. His family was well known for raising some of the best wrapper tobacco in Robertson County. Gary was loved by everyone he met.
Gary is survived by his wife Betty Butler Sanford of Adolphus KY; daughter Terri Rene Barnes of Gulfport MS, daughter Christy Lynn Cioffi [Chris Cioffi] of Goodlettsville TN, Granddaughter Lynde [Izzi] Barnes of Gulfport MS. Sister Louise Williams [Don] and sister Mary Lynn Mantlo [Lee]. He was preceded in death by his Father and mother Joe D Sanford and Mary Jane Hulsey Sanford, and 2 brothers Joe D. Sanford Jr. and Jimmy Lee Sanford all from Greenbrier TN.
