He is survived by: his wife Jennifer Thornton of Adolphus, KY; his children, Johnny Thornton, Amanda and Cheryl; his stepson Murl Blankenship, Jr. (Linda); his siblings, Rod Thornton (Angela) of Bowling Green, KY, Dan Thornton of Auburn, KY, Tim Thornton (Cathy) of Rockfield, KY and Debra Wood (Galen) of Lewisburg, KY; his brother-in-law Steve Richey; his stepgrandchildren, Tia, Ana, Matthew, Joshua, Marcus, Draven, Maximus, Ian, Haley, Autumn, Anthony, Madison and Katelynn; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Rayden Webb, Clayton Olson, Adleigh Lowe and Gunner Lowe.
