He was predeceased by: his parents, William McKinney and Edna McKinney (McGuire); his son James William McKinney; his stepdaughter Debbie Stevens; and his siblings, Zelle Sumpter, Dave McKinney, Boyd McKinney, Carl McKinney, Max McKinney and Charles McKinney.
He is survived by: his children, Eddie Ray McKinney (Judith), Charlene McKinney Edouard, Edna McKinney Fletcher, Thomas Kirby McKinney, Mary Hay (Josh) and Riley Burchett; his stepchildren, Dorothy Hogston, Mike McKinney (Erica), Denise Medina (Miguel) and Don Campbell (Rose); his son Lewis Fletcher; and his sister Connie Copper. He is also survived by grandchildren and great grandchildren.
