He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles B. Houston, Sr. and Sarah Houston (McGahan); and his wife Martha Mullins. He is survived by: his siblings, Charles B. Houston, Jr. (Millie) and Virginia Thomas (Roy); his children, Michael (Deb) and Sheila Gilbert (Roger); his granddaughters, Monica Mason (Richard), Shona Houston, Shelli Cole (Bill) and Chelsey Schwendemann (Ryan); and his great grandchildren, Reece Morgan, Hunter, Remington, Kimber Cole, Kaden, Payton and River Schwendemann. He is also survived by his family and friends.
