He was predeceased by: his parents, Cleo (Vaught) and Robert L. Nitsch, Sr.; and his sisters, Susie Nitsch, Barbara Shockey and Glenda Lee Shockey.
He is survived by: his former wife Linda Rich; his daughters, Tami Nitsch and Jamie Nitsch (Michael Julian); his granddaughter Lyndsay (Ray Wilson) of Iola, Kansas.; and his sisters, Patricia Pearcy of Orlando, FL and Debbie Nitsch of Lawrence, KS. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends.
