He was predeceased by: his parents, Florian A. Leis and Dorothy Pauly Leis; and his sisters, Mary Frances King and Jean Temming. He is survived by: his wife Peggy Jo Twadell; his children, Stephanie (Jay Ernst), Neva (Curt Newton), John Leis (Lynne Goodwin), Heather (Assad Mirza) and Matt Leis (Chandi); his grandchildren, Nate, Nick Ernst, Abigail (Marshall Rutter), Kamran, Hannah, Kadin Mirza, Keaton, Korbin, Gracyn and Hudson Leis; his great grandchild Ford Rutter; and his siblings, Kathleen Reichenberger, Virginia Biggs, Theresa Henkle, Cyrilla Cooper, Victor Leis, Dorothy Arlene Ling, Wendell Leis, Steven Leis and Mercedes Bienhoff.
