William Amory Taylor Jr. Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Amory Taylor Jr. of Winfield, Kansas, born in Portage, Wisconsin, who passed away on April 13, 2024, at the age of 106, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Taylor and Zelia Taylor Sr. (Cooper); his former wife Suzanne; his children, Alexandra Pfeifley and William A. Taylor III; his brothers, Clayton, Stewart and Donald Taylor; and his grandson Clayton McDowell.
He is survived by: his wife Sharon Shetlar (Skinner); his children, Martin Taylor (Theresa) and Zelia McDowell (Randal); his children-in-law, Marilyn Taylor and Brad Pfeifley; his grandchildren, Adriene Taylor Marks, Stephen Taylor (Carey), Taylor McDowell (Noelle), Grant McDowell (Kieran) and Alexandra McDowell; and his great grandchildren, Jack Marks, Katherine Marks, Schorr Taylor, William Taylor, Magdalena McDowell and Hanorah McDowell.
Memorial contributions for Bill may be made to the Grace Episcopal Church Endowment or Grace Episcopal Outreach Fund. Donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
