He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Brooks and Karen J. Brooks (Knuckey); his grandparents, Jack and Virginia Knuckey; his brother Kevin Lynn Brooks; his cousin Brady Allen; his aunt Barbara; his uncles, Eric Weidmann and Richard Kearns; and his cousin Linda Weidmann.

He is survived by: his aunt Ruth Marquis of Winfield; and his cousins, Kimberly Gray, Allen Kearns, Rick Weidmann, Garth, Trey, Travis, Heidi, Becky, Cheyanna and Cody.
