It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Queen Esther Dean of Winfield, Kansas, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on July 31, 2021, at the age of 57, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Girtha Mae Jackson and Robert Mallet; her uncle Sonny; her grandparents, Annie Bell Jackson and Hoarce Jackson; her sister Dorothy Jackson; and her nieces, Jessica L. Hollingsworth and Ashonia Hollingsworth.

She is survived by: her husband Darryl Dean of Winfield; her sons, Joseph Hollingsworth of Kansas City, MO, Anśuan Hollingsworth of Winfield, Ronald Slaton of Winfield and Juan Hollingsworth (Aline Sivongxay) of Winfield; her grandchildren, Alexandra Bright, Briana Bright, Jávonte L. Hollingsworth, Saphira Hollingsworth, Acesa Mae Hollingsworth and Da'Ja Hollingsworth; and her siblings, Barbara Williams, Gene Hollingsworth, Darlene Rodgers, Sara Tart, Jesse Hollingsworth, Rhodesia Hollingsworth and Kyle Hollingsworth.

A memorial has been established in Queen's name for the Second Baptist Church in Winfield. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
