He was predeceased by: his parents, John Muehring and Helen Muehring; and his siblings, Loretta Louise and Richard M. Muehring. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn L. Muehring (Fisher); his children, Lynlee (Eric Parker) of Austin, Leslie (Steve Graham) of Hutchinson and John (Stephanie) of Ankeny, Iowa.; his sister Marlene (Mark Shaver) of San Diego; and his nephews, Kyle and Scott Shaver of San Diego.
