She was predeceased by: her father Edward Hankins. She is survived by: her husband Brad Root of Winfield; her children, Bryan Root (Lori) and Angela King (Jason King) of Winfield; her granddaughter Braylea King of Garden City; her mother Rose Marie Hankins Blair (Earl Blair) of Topeka; her brother Ken Hankins (Eldon Thompson) of Wichita; and her siblings-in-law, Rodney Root (Mari), Greg Root (Sherrie) and Ann Root.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Kammi Root to Grace United Methodist Church.
