It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jeanette Kay King of Winfield, Kansas, born in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on November 23, 2023, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold H. Schmidt and Doris A. Schmidt (Reusser); and her nephew Keith M. Watt. She is survived by: her former husband Lawrence P. King, Jr.; her husband Larry King of Winfield; her children, Maria King of Wichita, Lawrence P. King, III of Winfield and James King (Jennifer) of Wichita; her siblings, Rose Marie Watt (Jim) of Winfield, Ray Schmidt (Cheryl) of Wichita, Lucas King, Silver Pederson, Amelia King and Eloise King; and her great grandchild Ryann Lynn Ingram.
A memorial has been established in Jeanette's name for Grandview United Methodist Church. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
