She was predeceased by: her parents, H. T. Minnis and Alberta Minnis; her siblings, Mattie, Sarah and Bud; her son Douglas Ray; and her son-in-law Randy Metzger.
She is survived by: her husband Arlan Ray Dewell; and her children, Craig Dewell (Kris) and Renae Metzger. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial contributions for Jean may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
