With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jarrod Lee Long of Winfield, Kansas, who passed away on February 13, 2025 at the age of 55. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Jarrod Lee Long to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Gene, Eva Lawrence, Barbara and Leslie Steele; and his uncles, Bud Long, Larry Long, Larry Steele and Bob Barker.
He is survived by: his wife Missy Long of Winfield; his parents, Dave Long and Sherry Long of Mustang, OK; his children, James Sexton (Amy Acridge) and Elaine Sexton (Kevin Elam); his grandchildren, Donivan Pietro, Lilliana Butler, Addison Butler and Nick Acridge; his brother Jason Leslie Long (Mustang); and his nephew Jason Bradley Long (Rachel).
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Shelley Family Funeral Home (803 Loomis St, Winfield, KS 67156). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 at the Highland Cemetery (702 Amos Becker Rd, Winfield, KS 67156).
Memorial contributions can be made out to the Cowley County Humane Society or American Legion Post 10 of Winfield and left in the care of the funeral home.
