He was predeceased by: his parents, Eugene E. Sr. Shields and Myrta "Peggy" Shields (Warren); his son Michael Shields; and his sister Edna Conrad. He is survived by: his daughter Lacy Shields-Collins (Jason) of Mulvane; his sister Peggy Brown (Al) of Arkansas City; his grandchildren, Cayden, Caleb Shields, Chase Shields, Connor and Carly Collins; his great grandchildren, Marleah and Breeland; his brother-in-law Jerry Conrad of Winfield; his niece Bella; and his pet Bella.
A memorial has been established in Bud's name for Tisdale Methodist Church.
