Etta Cole Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Etta Cole of Winfield, Kansas, who passed away on January 21, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Etta Cole to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry W. Black and Bessie Pearle Black (Cobb); her husband Wesley Robert "John" Cole; her children, John Lee Cole and Linda Arlene Harter; and her brothers, Lloyd, Bill and Carl Black.

She is survived by: her brother Bobby Black of Valley Center; her grandchildren, Steve W. Kennedy, Michael P. Kennedy, Rodney A. Kennedy, Deborah Delaney and John Robert Cole; her great grandchildren, Brittany Kennedy, Chad Kennedy, Melissa Kennedy, Adam Schnitzer, Lauren Schnitzer and Makayla Cole; and her great great grandchildren, Aedyn Murphy and Mathew Davenport.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Miles Funeral Service (4001 E 9th Ave, Winfield, KS 67156).

In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established in Louise's name for the Kansas Veterans Home. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
