She was predeceased by: her parents, Charles Franklin and Julia Schnabel (Eaton); her children, Nina Gail Bean, Lawrence Wayne and Donald Warren Sloan; and her siblings, Charles, Edward, Louis, David Schnabel and Julia Jacobson.
She is survived by: her children, Doug Sloan (Gail) of Augusta, Susan Williams (Clinton) of Leon, Kenneth Sloan (Shari) of Florida, Sherri and Ray Kurz of Elburn, IL; and her daughters-in-law, Judy Sloan of Raytown, MO and Lisa Sloan of Chicago. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.
A memorial has been established in Emily's name for the Friends University Community Orchestra. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
