He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry McGrath and Effie McGrath (Fashing); his wife Peggy; and his siblings, James McGrath and Marjorie Minnis (McGrath).
He is survived by: his children, Stephanie Clausen (Eddy) of Wichita, Susan McGrath of Auburn, Sheryl Byrd (Ed) of Topeka, Greg McGrath (Deena) of Lawrence, Carolyn McGrath of Tulsa, OK, Diane Kemp (David) of Derby, Ann McGrath of Olathe, David McGrath of Austin, TX and Christi McGrath (Ilya Simyatitsky) of Maize; his brothers, Donald McGrath, Philip McGrath (Juleen), Patrick McGrath (Vicky) and Edward McGrath (Emily); his brothers-in-law, Jim Williams (Carol) and Ed Williams (Young); and his caregivers, Linda Triplett and Sherry Anderson. He is also survived by numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be sent to Holy Name Catholic School. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
