He is survived by: his wife Kathy Marie Blizard of Winfield; his children, Dayla Ankrom (Robert) of Topkea, Dorene Workman (Colin) of Winfield, Darlene Stevens (Brian) of Wichita, DelRoy Spoon (Anji) of Winfield, Michael Shannon (Dallas) of Winfield and Jeff Shannon (LJ) of Topeka; his siblings, Gene Spoon of Winfield, Riley Duane Barger of Tucson, AZ and Cathy Smith of Broken Arrow, OK; and his grandchildren, Amanda, Thomas, Trey, Kylie, Shyann, Jake, Jessica, Crystal, Robert Dale, Chris, Tyler, Jazmyne, Maximus, Alexa and Henry.
A memorial has been established in Dale's name for Gentiva Hospice. Contributions may be made through the funeral home.
