It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Ann Smith of Winfield, Kansas, who passed away on December 31, 2021, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Glen Burgess and Ruthann Burgess; her brother-in-law Bud Hatfield; her granddaughter Jennifer Caruthers; and her great grandchild Briana Gowdy.
She is survived by: her significant other Danny R. Smith; her daughters, Danna Gowdy (Dave) of Winfield, Cheryl Brock (Richard) of Winfield and Andrea Crawford of Park City; her grandchildren, Joshua Gowdy (Jessica) of Rosehill, Jarret Gowdy (Kayla) of Park City, Tristin Brock (Scott) of Haysville, Carly Brock (Sam) of Winfield, Tanner Brock (Alyssa) of Wichita, Daltin Brock of Winfield and Dakota Fisher of Park City; and her sister Glenna Hatfield of Wichita. She is also survived by nine great-grandchildren and several cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family.
Memorial contributions may be made to Harvest Christian Church, New Hope Fellowship and Central Baptist Church, donations may be left in the care of the Shelley Family Funeral Home of Winfield.
