She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Merle and Ethel May Cropper Combs; her spouse Adlai Alvan Thompson; her children, Gracie Elaine Thompson and Steven Wayne Thompson; and her siblings, Anna Lee Gragg, Velma Shaffer and Earl Combs.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Gerstner of Valley Falls and Tom Thompson of Reston, Virginia; her grandchildren, Willie Schmelzle (Betsy), Randy Schmelzle (Brandy), Benjamin Thompson and Amanda Cordray; her great grandchildren, Lainey Schmelzle, Sam Schmelzle, Sway Schmelzle, Brooklynn Schmelzle, Tucker Schmelzle, Sawyer Schmelzle, Isabella Thompson, Lillian Darveaux, Mary Madison Cordray and Elijah Cordray; and her sister Jean Newman of Winchester.
Her family suggests memorials go to Jefferson County Home Health and Hospice or The Valley Falls Athletic Association.
