Alta Marie Tweed Obituary
We are sad to announce that on March 25, 2022, at the age of 89, Alta Marie Tweed of Winchester, Kansas, born in Quinter, Kansas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry George and Florence Jane Blackwood; her husband John; her grandson Nathan O'Neill; and her siblings, Junior, Dwayne, Dale Blackwood, Fern Sublette, Lois Wing, Della Crissman and Louise.
She is survived by: her sons, Stuart Tweed (Laura) of Springfield, VA and Alan Tweed (Lisa) of Madison, CT; her granddaughters, Carol Boyle (Bill) of Shawnee, KS, Cynthia O'Neill (Jay) of Winchester, KS and Alison Agnew (Chad) of Darlington, PA; and her siblings, Carl Blackwood, Twila Cunningham and Corajean Smiley. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
Due to COVID restrictions when John died, the family was unable to hold a memorial for him; therefore this will be a combined memorial service for both John and Alta.
