He was predeceased by: his wife Connie. He is survived by: his daughter Terisa (David Martin); his brother John David Hearne; his niece Shannon Cochran-Yzquierdo; and his grandchildren, Drew Martin, Kourtney Loomis (Russell), Savanah Stephens and Kaitlyn Hendry (Mikey). He is also survived by four great grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place; because COVID prevented holding a memorial for Connie, a combined service for both Tom and Connie will be held at a later date.

A memorial has been established with the Wilson County Historical Society.
