He was predeceased by: his parents, Earnest Barta and Francis Barta (Mattas); his wife Diane Barta (DuVal); and his brother Kenneth Barta. He is survived by: his children, Amber Fuller (Travis) of Ozawkie, KS, Christa Halloran (Tim) of Lake Tahoe, NV, Allison Hannum (Damon), Roger Bashor (Gina) of Edmond, OK and James McElfresh (Ashley) of Wichita, KS; and his sister Diane Zeman (Barta) of Ellsworth, KS. He is also survived by fifteen grandchildren.
