He is survived by: his spouse Sandi Lee Smith; his children, Brenda Stinson (Joe) of Ottawa, Nancy Parkin, Rick Ferguson (Pauline) of Williamsburg, Wanda Hamilton (Ray) of Pomona, Kim Weers of Princeton and Jay Dee Weers; and his sister Mary Alice Lasseter of Ottawa. He is also survived by eleven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
