With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wiley Avant Jr. in Wichita, Kansas, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. He was predeceased by: his parents, Wiley Avant and Cevilla Avant Sr. (Roark); his wife Hurley Erickson; and his siblings, Chresteen Avant, Lewis Avant, Lois Hargraves, Mildren Crowson, Dorothy Beck and James Avant.

He is survived by: his children, Steven Avant (Jacqueline) and Sandra Sorensen (Michael); his grandchildren, Teresa Pearcy and Jason Avant (Gina); his children, Michael Sorenson, Amanda Brown (Andy), Alicia Strobel (Tim) and Scott Sorensen; his great grandchildren, Amber Pearcy Green, Kyle Pearcy, Dayton Butcher, Alyssa Avant, Katie Avant, Tori Avant, Joe Avant, Jack Avant, Colton Brown, Alivia Brown, Caden Brown, Ella Strobel, Ally Strobel, John Strobel, Connor Sorensen, Ayden Sorensen, Declan Sorensen and Lexi Sorensen; his great great grandchildren, Miles Brown, Isaac Brown, Madison Pearcy and Alyssa Green; and his brother Bill Avant.
