He was predeceased by: his parents, John Sims and Ella McGill. He is survived by: his wife Teresa; his children, Shyra Bell, D'Andrea McGill, Warren McGill, Rai Shat "Geneo" McGill and Tamara McGill; and his siblings, Herschel Ricks, Jr., Timothy McGill, Sondra McGill, Kimmie Edwards, Ruby Sims-Ruff, Carolyn Sims, Katrina Jones and Earnest Rosser. He is also survived by 38 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel (1125 E 13th St N, Wichita, KS 67214). A burial was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at the Maple Grove Cemetery (1000 N Hillside St, Wichita, KS 67214).
