With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wallace Cooper (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on March 6, 2025 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Chesley Cooper and Berta Mae Cooper (Yarbrough); his wife Cleora Sue Burke; his siblings, Chesley Jr., Ferrand, Gilbert and Nancy Sue Farris; his brother-in-law Bill Farris; and his sons-in-law, Tom Ricke and David Stimpson.
He is survived by: his stepchildren, Barbara Moos (Jeff) of Boise, ID, Ted Cooper (Sue) of Knoxville, TN, Carl Cooper, Wally Jr. Cooper (Kristie), Theresa Ricke of Harper, KS, Angelique Cooper of The Woodlands, TX, George Hammond (Michelle) of Derby, KS, Kimberly Stimpson, Tamara Potter of Rosehill, KS and Susan Bacon (Brandon) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 20 Grandchildren, 22 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 10th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Smith Mortuary (115 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67213). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, March 11th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
