He was predeceased by: his parents, Lyle Koontz and Carolyn Hinds Koontz; his uncle Glen; his aunt Mamie Koontz; his cousin Greg Koontz; and his brother-in-law Luke Fry.
He is survived by: his wife Susan Green; his stepson Bobby Green; his siblings, Sharon Fry (late Luke), Kathy Littleton (Jeff), Ken Koontz (Jill) and Rick Koontz (Leann); and his cousin Teresa Koontz Tuchscherer.
