It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon K. Rice (Wichita, Kansas), who passed away on December 3, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon K. Rice to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Patterson and Thelma McGrew Patterson; her husband Jerry Rice; and her siblings, Mary, Ruby, Martha and James.
She is survived by: her children, Scott Rice (Stephanie) and Rita Guldner (Paul); and her grandchildren, Heather Guldner, Amber Guldner, Daniel Guldner, Adam Guldner, Alexander Rice, Lily Montiel, Miles Montiel, Naci Montiel, Pria Montiel, Ruby Rice and Grayson Rice. She is also survived by 18 great-grandchildren; and many other loving family and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Culbertson-Smith Mortuary (115 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67213). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, December 10th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the Kechi Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
