He was predeceased by: his parents, Pedro Gutierrez and Francisca Gutierrez; his former wife Mary Elena Arellano-Garcia; his sons, Alfred and Kenny Gutierrez; his grandson Eric Gutierrez; and his siblings, Armando, Alfonso, Gilbert, Bobby, Mary Dora, Rachel, Lillian Beatriz and Angie.
He is survived by: his wife Phyliss; his children, Michael Gutierrez, Richard Gutierrez (Lisa), Debbie Torres (Felipe), Kathy Pruett (Jeff), Bethany Gutierrez, Arlene Haywood (David) and Danielle Gutierrez; his stepson Seth Gonzalez (Delia); his grandchildren, Felipe Torres Jr., Michael Torres, Jessica Huff, Jeffrey Pruett Jr., John Pruett, Ashley Kearn, Anthony Gutierrez, Chelsea Gutierrez, Angela Gutierrez, Victor Rojas, Erika Frame, Samantha Rojas, Jianna Rojas, Andrew Haywood, Sarah Lorg, Natalie Haywood, Gabe Gutierrez, Noah Gutierrez, Meghan Gutierrez, Isabella Esparza, Audrey Esparza, Ezra Esparza, Seth Gonzalez Jr. and Sara Gonzalez-Gibbs; and his brother Ray Gutierrez (Linda). He is also survived by 26 great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 5th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Cochran Mortuary & Crematory (1411 N Broadway St, Wichita, KS 67214). A memorial service was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Evidence Church (11135 W Kellogg Dr, Wichita, KS 67209).
