It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Roland Wayne Monson of Wichita, Kansas, born in Orange City, Iowa, who passed away on February 4, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
In the sacred silence of farewell, Roland is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Roland's spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clifford Monson and Helen Monson; his sister Lynn Wolf; and his son Robert Monson. He is survived by: his wife Roberta Wise Monson; his children, Rolanda Maness (David) and Reginald Monson (Stefanie); and his siblings, Darwin Monson and Carmen Diischer. He is also survived by his 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many other family members and friends.
A celebration of life was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Country Acres Baptist Church (8810 W 10th St N, Wichita, KS 67212).
