He was predeceased by: his father Everett Covey. He is survived by: his spouse Miwako Fukuda; his mother Moya Bieker; his stepchildren, Yasunari Fukuda and Yuriko Fukuda (Brandon Diep); his siblings, Marvin Covey (Gail), Dwight Covey (Ronda) and Dwila Daubenspeck (Richard); and his grandchildren, Aina "Cynthia", Aiden and Ailein. He is also survived by eleven nieces and nephews.
