He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Wegele and Marie Katherina "Katie" Mai Wegele; and his siblings, Reinhold, Victor Wegele and Leona Ryan.

He is survived by: his wife Judeen Ochs; his daughters, Tina Marie (Larry Davis) of McKinney and Shelley Lynette (Craig Kunkel) of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his grandchildren, Alexander Griffin of Frisco, Texas, Noah Griffin of The Colony and Ella Jane Kunkel of Colorado Springs, Colorado; his pet Hazel of McKinney, Texas; and his sister Shirley Watts of Austin, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
