She was predeceased by: her parents, William Henry Kennedy and Louisa Helen McMillen; her siblings, Harold Kennedy and Thelma Retzlaff; her great grandchild Emma Kimmel; her former husband Billie Evans; her daughter Marquita Evans; and her son-in-law Danny Smysor.
She is survived by: her sisters, Betty Morrow of Albuquerque and Sarah Schmidt of Greensburg; her sister-in-law Betty Joan Gandy of Wellington; her children, Marilyn Cox (Darrell) of Udall, Carolyn Smysor, Sandy Geer of Mulvane and Robert Geer of Wichita; her grandchildren, Lloyd Cox (Lori) of Pleasanton, Kristan Colvin (Cory) of Mulvane, David Smysor of Mulvane, Marianne Hunerdosse (Geoff) of Lenexa, Marsha Geer of Derby and Melissa Brandt (Leighton Summers) of Derby; and her great grandchildren, Jessica Cox of Wyoming, Taryn, Cody, Barrett, Adelaide Cox of Pleasanton, Gavin, Kennedy Hunerdosse of Lenexa, Tryston Smysor of Mulvane, Korbin Holmes, Andrew Brandt, Baileigh Summers of Derby and Damien Geer of Derby. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Resthaven Mortuary (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
