He is survived by: his children, Duane Simon (Theresa) of Wichita, John Simon (Janet) of Ost, Mike Simon (Tonya) of Andale, Leon Simon (Dee) of Andale, Kathy Neukirch (late Frank) of Wichita and Betty Hein (Bernard) of Andale; and his siblings, Alphonse, Gilbert, James, Eugene, Mardella Freund and Anita Wells. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 1 sister.
