He was predeceased by: his parents, John H. Krapes and Hellen C. Krapes (King); his wife Joan Krapes (Larkin); his sons, Kevin Krapes and Bruce Krapes; and his siblings, Art Krapes, Bill Krapes, George Krapes, Dorothy and Genevieve.

He is survived by: his daughters, Gayle Lacey (Ronny) of Udall, KS, Rhonda Gillespie of Haysville, KS, Joan Vandyke (Gary) of Wichita, KS and Lori Anderson of Wellington, KS. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
