He is survived by: his wife Norma Alford; his children, La Vonda Alford, Kitsa Smiles, Theresa Smiles, Carl Morrison (Tina), Alton Waite and Donte Smiles (Teresa); and his sister Beverly Alford-Allen. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
