He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Barnes and Bernice Barnes (Hough); his grandson Blake Barnes; and his nephew Brian Rackie. He is survived by: his children, Douglas Barnes and Stefanie Barnes (Reggie Monson); his grandson Michael Barnes; his great grandchildren, Kimberly Barnes and Daisy Barnes; his sister Patricia Rackie; his nephew Deron Rackie; and his stepgrandchildren, Emily Hickey and Clay Hickey.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 23rd 2024 at 1:00 PM at the Resthaven Gardens of Memory (11800 US-54, Wichita, KS 67209).
