It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gary L Eckert in Wichita, Kansas, who passed away on March 12, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the vast expanse of eternity, Gary shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Gary farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Eckert and Edith Eckert (Butler). He is survived by: his siblings, Billy James Eckert, Jr. (Mary) and Patricia Elaine Snyder (Ric); his nephew Jason Peters (Vanessa); his niece Tricia Peters; and his great-niece Josslyn.
A graveside service was held on Wednesday, March 19th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1100 E 1st St, Newton, KS 67114).
A memorial has been established for the Salvation Army, Wichita City Command, Wichita Citadel Corp. Community Center, 1739 S. Elpyco, Wichita, Kansas 67218.
