He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Vern and Thelma Nadene Hays. He is survived by: his wife Carol Ann Hays; his children, Tracey Hays of Wichita, KS and Troy Dale Hays; his siblings, Nadene Mittman (Sam), Janice Elder (Jerry), Dinah Mohesky (Mark), Ricky Hays (Meg) and Rodger Hays (Patricia Ann); and his stepgrandchildren, Shawna Koziarz and Erin McCoy.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Downing & Lahey West Mortuary (10515 W Maple St, Wichita, KS 67209).
