He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Amons and Garnet Amons (Hancock); his aunt Leatha Cline; his close friend Byron Mack; his wife Joanne Amons; and his children, Deborah Pinkston and Joseph C. Amons.
He is survived by: his children, Shelley Osborn (Jerry), Michael Amons (Sherry) and J. Matthew Amons (Krista Bishop); his grandchildren, Sarah Tavis (Jeremy), Jason Pinkston, Daniel Pinkston, Angela Babcock (George), Tony Osborn (Miranda), Derrick Osborn, Zachary Amons, Keeli Amons, Siara Amons, Cohen Grey and Brayden Amons; and his great grandchildren, Rhayne, George Babcock, Glenn, Gabriel, Maddison and Jaden Osborn.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Affinity All Faiths Mortuary (2850 S Seneca St, Wichita, KS 67217). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Greenwood Cemetery (6231 W 47th St S, Wichita, KS 67215).
