He was predeceased by: his parents, Vern Thornton and Mary Thornton (Anderson); his wife Hilda F. Thornton; his daughter Cindy Kay Oxandale; and his daughter-in-law Cynthia Ann Thornton.
He is survived by: his son Larry Thornton of Whiting; and his grandchildren, Rebekah Thornton-Savage of Manhattan, Brett (Brooke Oxandale) of Topeka, Adam (Erin Thornton) of Wamego and Brent (Stephanie Oxandale) of Basehor, Kansas. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Kenneth Thornton memorial fund to be designated later and may be sent in care of the mortuary.
