She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross R. "Dick" Nickell and Velma L. Nickell (Mayer); and her siblings, Arlene Davidson, Doris Morris and Keith Nickell.
She is survived by: her husband Jack Bontrager; her sons, Mark (Vicki), Bruce and Rex (Cindy); her sister Shirley Sweeting (Roger) of Key West, Florida; and her grandchildren, Chad (Mandy), Chase (Kristel), Curt (Sydney), Nelson, Alexandria, Benjamin, Emma, Tori (Blake) and Brett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Holton Community Hospital Hospice or the Holton Ball Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
