She was predeceased by: her parents, Elsie Faye Higgins (Huffman) and Jack Higgins; her children, Curtis D. Kaler and Donna Sue Kaler; her siblings, Vivian Higgins and Alan W. Higgins; and her great grandchildren, Bentley and Abel Rupnicki.
She is survived by: her former husband Lawrence E. Kaler; her husband Eldon D. Hower; her daughters, Brenda D. Kaler of Whiting, KS and Tanna Trimell of St. George, UT; her stepdaughter Kelly M. Ward (Dan) of Sonora, CA; her siblings, Thelma Bolin of California and Jack Higgins of Florida; and her daughter-in-law Christina Kaler of Holton, KS. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and 7 step great-grandchildren.
