It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Wilferd Thiessen of Whitewater, Kansas, who passed away on October 16, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Jacob Edgar and Marie Thiessen (Wiebe); and his siblings, Henry, Edgar Thiessen and Martha Thiessen.

He is survived by: his wife Gladys Evelyn Kracht of Whitewater; and his children, Randy (Connie Thiessen), Gary (Monica Thiessen) and LaVonna (Greg Schmid) of Phoenix, Arizona.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Cornerstone Bible Institute in Hot Springs, South Dakota.

“Myrna and I wish to express our sympathy to Gladys and family. Back in the "Grace Days" Wilferd was a good friend as a fellow student. My fondest memories are of the times we played together in the King's Heralds brass quartet. Myrna would remember traveling with him on the summer tour in 1954. His piano accompanying style was special, especially as he played for the men's quartet. We wish for you God's comfort as you mourn his passing.”
