He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Newcom and Viola Newcom; his grandsons, Christopher, Travis and Kevin Newcom; and his sister Rogene Moody.
He is survived by: his children, Brent Newcom (Linda) of Newton, KS, Geneva Downing (John) of Brighton, TN, Charles R. Newcom (Janet) of Woodbury, TN and Jack Newcom (Kathy) of Wichita, KS; his sister Rosemary Hoover (Bob) of Topeka, KS; and his grandchildren, Scott Newcom (Destinee) of Auburndale, FL, Brian Newcom (Carolyn) of Deltona, FL, Jason Ambrose (Brandie) of Fayetteville, GA, Jared Ambrose (Terra) of Castalian Springs, TN, Angelia Newcom (Jackie) of Lewisburg, TN, Shane Newcom (Ginger) of Springfield, TN and Nick Newcom (Holley) of Wichita, KS. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Palmyra Baptist Church, American Legion of Whitewater and Kansas Auctioneers Association.
