Olin Claassen Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Olin Claassen (Whitewater, Kansas), who passed away on October 24, 2024 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Claassen and Helen Claassen (Regier); his stepmother Anna Regier Claassen; and his siblings, Carolyn Busenitz and Rodney Claassen.

He is survived by: his wife Carol Claassen of Whitewater; his children, Doug Claassen (Katherine) of Whitewater, Greg Claassen (Elizabeth) of Whitewater, Kim Claassen (Debbie) of Whitewater and Kristine Goossen (Carl) of Potwin; his grandchildren, Brittany Burns (Jared), Courtney Nethercot (Adrian), Cody Claassen, Cole Claassen (Jennifer), Andrew Claassen, Emilee Stucky (Joel), Abigail Rooks (Drew), Camille Claassen, Samantha Graber (Todd), Grant Claassen (Paige), Lucas Goossen (Shayla), Paul Goossen (Anna) and Renata Goossen; his great grandchildren, Colton, Beckham, Judah, Eloise, Taya, Paige, Morgan, Jordy and Andi; and his son Vladimir Yevseyenkov. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Lamb Funeral Home (120 S Main St, Whitewater, KS 67154). A burial was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Old Emmaus Cemetery (10995 NW Meadowlark Rd, Whitewater, KS 67154). A funeral service was held on Thursday, October 31st 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Grace Hill Mennonite Church (10218 SE 12th St, Whitewater, KS 67154).

Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the Mennonite Central Committee and Wheat State Manor.
