It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerhard Harder (Whitewater, Kansas), who passed away on December 2, 2019, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Gerhard Harder to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gustav Harder and Anna Harder (Wiebe); his siblings, Gus, Herb, Walter, Harold Harder, Martha Dyck, Agnes Wuthrich, Ann Claassen, Esther Wiebe and Elsie Regier; and his grandson Christopher Harder.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Harder; his children, Joann Harder of Wichita, Ron Harder (Janice) of Newton, Richard Harder (Glenda) of Whitewater, Jeanette Braun (Walter) of Paraguay, Eileen Barkman (Dave) of Japan and Anbeth Anderson (Mark) of Newton; and his siblings, Arthur Harder (Norma) of Olathe and Ella Harnly of Manheim, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by 22 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
Because missions was such a passion to Gerhard, memorial donations (in lieu of flowers), in Gerhard's name may be designated to Emmaus Church for the camp ministries of daughters Jeanette (Paraguay) and Eileen (Japan) (please designate in memo line) in care of Lamb Funeral Home, PO Box 358, Whitewater, Kansas 67154.
